How to Deal with Xtool X100 Pad “Please input security code”

Recently, one of our XTOOL X100 Pad users asked us for help because his X100 Pad needs security code. When he tried to change the dash mileage and entered the odometer correction function menu, the X100 PAD screen appeared  “Please input the security code“.

How to deal with this?

Xtool X100 PAD requires to enter security code ONLY when do odometer correction function  for GM car models.  That means other car brands and functions do not require the code to enter.

When you enter the odometer correction function menu and select the vehicle model, the key programmer will display a code. Please send the code to us (together with the correct GM model and year, i.e Chevrolet Cruze 2011 + code). Our factory will calculate the security code based on information your provided and send the code to you.

EEPROM Adapter Use Guide: Read Pin Code, Initialize Data, Read-Write Chip

EEPROM which developed by XTOOL is a tool which could use to read the chips that need to be removed when reading IMMO pin code. User could remove the chip from Immobiliser or dashboard and then read pin code via EEPROM.

How to connect EEPROM with chip and X100 PRO /X200S /X300 PLUS:

The following will share the EEPROM function like read pin code, initialization data and read- write chip.

Take Changan CX20 for example to show how to read IMMO pin code:

1.  Take apart the EEPROM chip from vehicle control unit.

2.  Find the correct chip socket according to chip type (pay attention: both directions of chip and chip socket should be the same, otherwise password will fail to be read).

3.  Connect EEPROM chip with XTOOL X100 PRO or XTOOL X300 PLUS.

4.  Choose “EEPROM Adapter” and “Read Pin Code” function.

5.  Select car model “Changan”->”C20”

6.  Choose ECU type ”ECU(93C46)’

7.  And the pin code of Changan C30 could be read out

Next, share the guide to initialize data by taking Toyota for example.

1.  Choose “initialize data”-> car model “Toyota”

2.  Chose the initialization type “Smart system initialization”

3.  Then select the detail car model “HIGHLANDER”

4.  Choose the initialization type, pay attention to Immobiliser and ECU type.

5.  Save the file and the xtool will remind you to initialize. Choose yes and initialization will be done.

How EEPROM read or write chip

Before reading or writing chip, please remove the chip from car and connect it with chip holer

1.  Choose ”EEPROM chip read/write” function

2.  Choose the right chip type

3.  Select the file name want to save

4.  Choose the file to recover.

5.  After confirm the right file, the chip is successful read and write.

XTOOL EZ400 Pro 2013 Nissan Altima Sedan 20pin Smart Key

This post will share a process about use XTOOL EZ400 Pro to program 2013 Nissan Altima Sedan 20 pin smart key. Here we go

Choose “Nissan Infiniti”

Choose “program keys” -> ”select from types” -> “smart key system” -> ”20 pincode”->”type 1” -> “program smart keys”

Switch ignition off, turn on the hazard warning lights, press OK to continue

A note before program: next to all smart keys will be erased, you can program up to four smart keys, press YES to continue

Do not press the brakes, press the start button until the ignition switch turned on, press OK to continue

Communication and switch ignition off when shows the note like this:

And a note will appear to guide you how to program smart key

Press the start button and release it immediately, then the yellow light will flash on the start button, use a smart that needs to be programmed to be attached to the start button until instrument is lit. then press Yes.

Make sure the immobilizer lights off.

After Configuring the system, a note will show you program success and ask you whether to program another key or not.

Press YES to program the next one, press NO to return.

Follow the step as the first programmed keys above to program the next key.

Use the first programmed smart key to close to start button and turn switch ignition on, the buzzer sounds, programming is completed
